90 days to go...

This started as a dare and I've never been one to turn down a good dare. I think it boils down to some of my demented friends that want nothing more than to see me suffer the next three months. But being the trooper than I am... here goes!

August 21st, 1955

I share this day with several folks that are much more famous than I. The standouts on the list for me are Kim Cattrall of Sex and the City fame (her character and I share a lot of the same morals.. lol), Kenny Rogers, Wilt Chamberlain (who claims to have bedded over 20,000 ladies)and Chris Schenkel.
Mr. Shenkel is a particular standout for me since I've spent many a Saturday afternoon listening to his sports commentary on ABC. His bowling broadcasts in particular are what led me to take up the sport at a young age. X.J Kennedy is a poet that I sometimes had a hard time understanding but loved the hours of trying. Jack Weston a wonderful character actor who passed away in 1996. His most memorable role in my mind was the innkeeper Max Kellerman in Dirty Dancing. Last but not least was Aubrey Beardsley. He was the most controversial artist of the Art Nouveau era, renowned for his dark and perverse images.

Looking over this renowned list makes me proud to have been born on the last day of Leo. It humbles me tremendously to be in the famous company. I know some don't believe in the influence of the stars and the universe but seeing what myself and these people have in common is kinda freaky to me.

I've tried my hand in every single career that they have excelled in. The low self esteem I held for many of my formative years is the reason I cite for not excelling as all of them did. From awkward basketball as a child to DJing as an adult all while preforming daily as an Air Traffic Controller kept me in front of a crowd. I guess that's the reason I took this dare. In its own way, it'll keep me in front of the audience I need to have.

You, my invisible readers, are my audience. You'll notice a comment link at the end of every post contained here. Please use it. Feedback good, bad, or ugly is needed to keep this up.

Share the next 90 days with me. Ride this biological roller coaster through it's ups and downs. It'll be a helluva ride.

Ron
